Your data stays in your browser

startwell runs entirely in your browser. Your project name, description, and all selections are stored in memory only and are never sent to any server. When you download your project scaffold, all state is cleared automatically.

No accounts, no tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any form of user identification. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no data collection. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or any persistent browser storage.

External resources

startwell loads the following external resources:

• Google Fonts — Font previews are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com when you browse the font selection step. Google may log requests per their privacy policy.
• Geist fonts— The site's own fonts are loaded from Google Fonts on page load.

No other third-party scripts, SDKs, or services are loaded.

URL sharing

If you share your wizard URL, your selections are encoded in the URL parameters. Anyone with the link can see those selections. No data is stored server-side — the URL itself contains the state.

Generated files

The zip file you download is generated entirely in your browser using JSZip. No files are uploaded to or generated on any server. The zip contents are based solely on your selections and are not stored or transmitted anywhere.

Open source

startwell is open source. You can inspect the code to verify these claims.
